ZX BEEPER music on ATARI XL/XE :) :: raww.org

Hehe. I forced Atarians (well, actually kindly suggested, like only I can do, hahaha) to try play our Spectrum BEEPER songs on their hardware. It should have worked because they also have 1-bit transducer (ours is ULA, theirs is GTIA - generating 'click' for keyboard).
And You know what? They did it!! ;) I mean - worx are in progress but engine from The Music Studio works already.

Hehe, this is interesting. No chance to listen to it at the moment but I'll have a try at home later in the afternoon. Anyway, I'd like to listen some more complex routine ported to 6502 like Tim Follin's player etc, which requires lots of exact Z80 timing. Anyway you could use a digital sample of it and play it on Atari but this would be definitely lame, hehe :) Pity is that there is noone who would try to do the same thing on Spectrum, I mean to try to play some POKEY tune, which could be possible concerning the sound I think.
